Inadequate. That is the word of the day. I am feeling it, claiming it, and unfortunately Satan is having a field day. So I am turning my back on him and acknowledging my inadequacies to my Lord, who knows my weaknesses and loved me enough to conquer death for me.
"But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (NIV)
"In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groans that words cannot express." Romans 8:26 (NIV)
So I look up from my weakened state -- and depend on the Spirit to ask for that which I don't even know how to ask for.
